toNikah ("we", "us", or "our") operates tonikah.com, the toNikah web app, and related Android/iOS mobile apps (the "Platform"). We respect your privacy, handle personal data responsibly, and align with Islamic principles of trust, modesty, transparency, and protection of dignity. We do not sell personal data, engage in profiling or behavioral tracking without explicit consent, or use interest-based advertising.
This Cookie Policy explains cookies, similar technologies (including local storage), and how we use them on the Platform. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit the Platform. They enable core functions, remember preferences, and support security. Similar technologies include local storage, session tokens, and other client-side storage.

Notes: These are strictly necessary to deliver the service you request (e.g., login, navigation, security). Third-party technologies activate only when you use related features. Consent storage: Your banner interaction is saved in localStorage as cookieAccepted: true (persists until cleared or withdrawn).
3. Cookie Notice & Consent
On first visit, you see: "We use only essential cookies that are necessary for the proper functioning of toNikah. These cannot be disabled." (with Accept button and link to this policy/settings.)
This notice is for transparency. Essential items are active by default and do not require consent. Accepting hides the notice; it does not enable non-essentials. For any future non-essentials, we will provide granular choices and require explicit opt-in.
Google Maps / Places API Cookies: Features using Google Maps or Places API (e.g., location selection or display) may store cookies on your device for functionality, preferences, and service delivery. These are strictly necessary and tied to the features you use. By using these features, you consent to Google's storage and access of such cookies/data, subject to Google's policies. Consent (where required) is informed, specific, and withdrawable anytime via the banner (footer link) or browser settings. Withdrawal is simple and does not affect prior processing.
